Massachusetts DeMolay Traveling Gavel Program

The Mass. DeMolay Traveling Gavel Program is underway!  Get ready to visit your fellow brethren for a little bit of competition and a lot of Brotherhood!

Program Rules

The object is simple:  Visit the chapter that has the Traveling Gavel with at least 3 members and the gavel is yours!  What if there is more then 1 chapter there?  What if there are 4 there?  Here are the tie breakers:
1) The chapter that has held the gavel the least number of times.
2) The chapter that has held the gavel lease recently.
3) The chapter that has traveled the furthest distance.

Note: Distances have been calculated from each chapter (Masonic Building to Masonic Building) according to MapQuest.  To download the Gavel Distance Chart, Click Here. note: A new Gavel Distance Chart is being created and will be posted when complete.

When a chapter has captured the Gavel, the Master Councilor or Dad Advisor should contact the Traveling Gavel Committee Chairman.  Please inform the Chairman when the gavel was captured, from what chapter it was captured, and when your chapter's next meeting will take place.  This information will then be posted on the Traveling Gavel page.
